Emily from Emily Reads Everything has organised an amazing blog tour to celebrate the release of Water's Wrath.
Needless to say I am super excited to be a part of this tour! Water's Wrath is the highly-anticipated fourth book in Elise Kova's YA fantasy romance Air Awakens series.

Librarian turned sorcerer. Sorcerer turned hero. Hero turned puppet.
The Solaris Empire found victory in the North and, at the cost of her heart and her innocence, Vhalla Yarl has earned her freedom.
But the true fight is only beginning as the secret forces that have been lurking in the shadows, tugging at the strings of Vhalla’s fate, finally come to light.
Nowhere is safe, and Vhalla must tread carefully or else she’ll fall into the waiting arms of her greatest foe. Or former lover.

Read on for my picks for the Air Awakens series dream cast...
One day in the future hopefully some day soon! the Air Awakens series will be made into a bunch of epic films (or even a tv show!). And when that happens, the film(s) or show will need the best cast ever in order to bring Elise Kova's brilliant fictional world and characters to life.
After a tonne of research plus Googling and swooning over good-looking actors I've come up with my two top actor/actress choices that best fit the series' actual descriptions for each of the following characters:
Vhalla is one of my favourite fictional heroines. She definitely needs an actress that is capable of portraying her accurately and doing her extensive character development justice.
Physical description
"Her dark brown eyes - flecked with gold - fixed on the Imperial Gate."
"Vhalla's hair was a dark brown mess of frizz and untameable waves."
For me the two main details to take away here from the book's descriptions of Vhalla are her brown eyes and dark brown hair. 'Flecks of gold' and 'untameable waves' can always be achieved using the help of contacts or talented hairstylists.
Casting choices
My top two choices for Vhalla are Maia Mitchell & Zoey Deutch.
Choice #1: Maia
Maia has the dark brown hair (that has proven itself to range from rich and dark in some areas, to more of an ashen brown in others) and the hair itself is normally curly or wavy. Also, she's changed hair lengths a few times (not unlike Vhalla!).
Maia's eyes are dark brown. But they also have a golden tinge to them in certain lighting (see the picture on the middle right of the collage) - so maybe contacts won't be needed!
She is also a very versatile actress which is a must for anyone planning on taking on the role of Vhalla.
Choice #2: Zoey
Like Maia, Zoey has the dark brown hair and brown-and-kinda-golden-in-certain-lighting eyes. However, Zoey also has weapons/fighting/general badassery training! This may come in handy when filming scenes from some of the later books in the series, especially the action-filled ones.
Aldrik...oh where do I begin?!
This handsome devil of a fictional character has caused me so much grief over the last couple of days - how do I choose just two handsome actors to portray Aldrik and all his awesomeness?! I have such first world problems don't I?!
So...how do I put this...I went and chose three actors.
Now I know I told you guys I was picking two actresses/actors per character but rules were made to be broken and Aldrik is worth it ;)
Physical description
"He had high cheekbones and a pronounced nose, his face was narrower and more angular than his brother's. All of his facial structures were distinctly Western, save for Southern pale skin that seemed paper white. (...) Nothing about him was traditionally handsome, and for it all, he was astonishingly striking.'
"Dark eyes met hers.'
A chiselled face, pale skin, dark eyes, and striking features seem to be the main criteria for an Aldrik. Now to find these on an actor...!
Casting choices
My top three choices for Aldrik are Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin, & Luke Evans .
Choice #1: Henry
Henry is the epitome of tall, dark, and brooding. To me, he has the powerful, striking aura that I imagine Aldrik to have - he doesn't need to say a word to capture people's attention or command their respect.
But beneath his fierce exterior is a conflicted heart - and in his role in Tristan & Isolde Henry perfected his portrayal of the 'brooding and tortured' character. As an accomplished actor, Henry would also be able to take on the extreme ups and downs on the emotional rollercoaster that is Aldrik's character path.
Choice #2: Sam
Sam as Aldrik never occurred to me until I stumbled across the Air Awakens dream casting discussion thread on Goodreads. One reader nominated Sam and suddenly it made perfect sense! Sam has this incredible intensity about him that matches Aldrik perfectly.
He'd probably need to dye his hair darker to match Aldrik's (and maybe use some contacts). But he's shown such potential in his other acting roles, and I think he'd make a powerful Aldrik.
Choice #3: Luke
Just one look at Luke in that armour...and I had to nominate him for Aldrik! His expression, his eyes, the way he radiates power - it's all there.
No Air Awakens casting could be complete without Baldair!
Physical description
"Endless cerulean eyes."
"Heartbreaker Prince."
"He ran a hand through his ear-length wavy blonde hair."
How hard can it be to find a good-looking heartbreaker of a blonde-haired, blue-eyed actor? There are SO MANY CHOICES and once again I'm having so many issues choosing just two!!
Casting choices
My top two choices for Baldair are Garrett Hedlund, & Scott Eastwood.
Choice #1: Garrett
When I think 'blonde heartbreaker' I think Garrett - especially after watching him as a slightly flirtatious Hook in Pan! He could definitely portray Baldair's fun-loving nature, as well as his lesser-shown serious side. Plus, he's got the blonde hair and blue eyes!
Choice #2: Scott
For this one I'm not even gonna bother with an explanation...just sit back and enjoy the eye candy!!
How excited are you for Water's Wrath? Which of my choices for each of the characters was your fave? Do you have a nomination for the Air Awakens series cast?
