Swoon Worthy Saturday ~ Stacey O'Neale's Rowan

Hosted by: Stay Bookish

It's Swoon Worthy Saturday and time to choose a fictional-icious male who has swept me off my feet this week!

This Saturday's pick is the gorgeous Rowan from author Stacey O'Neale's Mortal Enchantment (Mortal Enchantment #1).

Mortal Enchantment will be released May 20th 2014.

Reasons to love Rowan:
  • He's full of confidence
  • He's so pretty it hurts
  • He's one badass dude (special powers & sword skills)
  • Secretly, underneath all the bad-assery, he's just a cuddly kitten with a big heart.
Here is one of the many moments in Mortal Enchantment which made me wish Rowan was my boyfriend:

'He pressed the blade of his sword into the ground. As he pulled his arm over his head for a stretch, a bead of sweat trickled down his neck and over a row of muscles on his stomach. I swallowed hard. The window's edge dug into my skin but I refused to move an inch. The tiny droplet disappeared into the waistband of his shorts. I had seen plenty of guys in gym class with their shirts off, but none of them looked like...that. He was physical perfection - a living work of art.

I sat on my knees with my chin relaxed on my crossed arms, unable to look away.

"Enjoying the view?" he said, eyes suddenly on me. His chiseled face wore an overly confident grin. Clearly he was used to being admired.

My cheeks burned.

I stood, pretending to check out the scenery. "Not much to see."

He raised an eyebrow, letting me know he knew I was full of crap.'

If that didn't make your heart skip a beat & you need more, be sure to grab a copy of Mortal Enchantment when it comes out and become better acquainted with Rowan.

Did you swoon? Are you looking forward to reading Mortal Enchantment? Comment in the comment's section below!

Also, be sure to let me know which fictional male you think I should blog about next ;)

'In Kalin Matthew's world, elementals control the forces of nature. They are divided into four courts: air, woodland, fire, and water. At sixteen she will leave the life she's built with her mortal mother. Kalin will move to Avalon to rule with her father—the elemental king of the air court. Along the way, she's attacked by a fire court assassin and saved by Rowan, a swoon-worthy elemental with a questionable past.

Worst of all, she learns her father is missing.

To rescue him, Kalin will have to work with a judgmental council and a system of courts too busy accusing each other of deceit to actually be able to help her. But, they aren’t her biggest challenge. With the Midwinter’s Ball only five days away, Kalin must take over her father’s duties, which includes shifting control of the elements—power Kalin has yet to realize.

As Rowan attempts to train her, a war looms between the four courts. If Kalin fails, her father will die and the courts will fall, but the betrayal she’s about to uncover may cost her even more...
